Welcome to the Suffolk Coast!
Coxswains Cottage is a double-fronted 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday home that used to be two seperate Fisherman's Cottages. The house stands right in the centre of the village with the Beach, Sea and Meare all being about 100m away. The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are recognised as being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, something we at Seaside Suffolk are pleased to support through our membership of the Connect Scheme (see links page for full details)
Thorpeness was created by local landowner Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie in the early 1900s as a resort for wealthy Edwardians. It was Ogilvie who created the 64 acre Meare, a shallow boating lake dug by hand and still much enjoyed today. The village also boasts a James Braid designed Golf Course, Tennis Club, Local Shop, Village Inn, and Cafe. Aldeburgh is just over a mile along the coast and the attractions of Snape, Minsmere, Orford, Dunwich and Walberswick (amongst others) are all within easy reach. Walking, Cycling, Sailing and Birdwatching are just some of the activities available in the local area, or if you like you can just stay put and relax!.
New For 2009 - 1 Town Steps Aldeburgh
We are pleased to make available this beautiful Geogian property right in the heart of Aldeburgh and sleeping up to 6 people. The house is laid out on three floors, has three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lovely secluded garden at the rear. The House is very close to all the attractions of Aldeburgh yet still feels sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the High Street
Aldeburgh has been a fashionable holiday resort for many years, its has a good range of independant shops, many fine restaurants, a good golf club and at the far end of the town its own sailing club. The small museum in the Moot Hall is also worth a visit.
Please see seperate page for details of 1 Town Steps and feel free to call for any further information.
