
Sitting Room - Furnished with 2 comfortable sofas. There is a flat screen TV/DVD combi and a mini HIFI system. We have provided a selection of local guidebooks and other reading material as well as local guide books and information.
Kitchen/Diner - A beautiful hand-made kitchen with granite worktops. The kitchen is very well equipped with gas cooker, built-in fridge with freezer compartment, built-in dishwasher, microwave, and more than enough pots, pans, and crockery for four people. There is a dining area at one end with an oak table which seats four adults comfortably.
Up the right-hand original cottage staircase to:
Bedroom 1 - A lovely south facing room, furnished with king size bed frame (with VI Spring mattress) , 2 bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and wall mirror. Plantation shutters on both windows fill the room with a beautiful diffused light on days when the sun is blazing! White cotton bedlinen and sumptuous down duvet give the bed a really luxurious feel. A hairdryer is also provided.
Bathroom 1 - A large bathroom with white suite comprising bath with shower, WC, and basin. There is a light/shaving point over the basin. Fluffy white cotton bath and hand towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels). Airing cupboard with gas boiler for central heating and hot water tank.
Up the left-hand original cottage stairs to:-
Bedroom 2 - South-Facing with twin VI-Spring divan beds (with Goose Down Duvets) This room also has a pine wardrobe, bedside chest, lamps, hair drier, radio, wall mirror, dressing table with mirror and stool.
Bathroom 2 - This room is the mirror of bathroom 1. A washing machine and a tumble drier are located in the former airing cupboard. There is also a shaverpoint/light.
Bedroom 3 (optional) - A ground floor bedroom which has a single bed (with VI-Spring mattress), pine wardrobe, bedside chest, lamp, mirror and easy chair. Please Note if this room is required to increase the sleeping capacity at the cottage to 5 people there will be an extra charge. If you would like this room then please state at time of booking.
Front garden - a sunny south facing spot where one can sit and watch the world go by, there is a view over to the Meare (where boats can be hired) and the village green.
Rear courtyard - A small granite paved, private courtyard which is mostly covered by a glazed roof making it perfect for sitting outside on those odd wet days! There is a table and chairs for meals 'al fresco' and bench to sit on. There is also a right of way across the rear of the next door cottage enabling easy access for bikes etc.
