Coxswains is a double-fronted, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom former Fisherman's Cottage which stands in a fine position in the centre of Thorpeness, a delightful and popular seaside village on the East Suffolk Heritage Coastline. The area is counted amongst the finest for wildlife, landscape, and historic interest in the country.

The village remains true to its Edwardian ideal of summer, tennis, golf and sailing and is the perfect spot for a relaxing break away from it all. The facilities are exceptional as is the village's picturesque position on the heathland and surrounding coastline. A little over a mile along the coast from Aldeburgh, Thorpeness offers a wide range of high quality sports and leisure activities. The house sleeps up to four people and is perfect for couples or a family.

It is within an easy drive or cycle ride of the RSPB Reserve at Minsmere and of the famous Maltings Concert Hall at Snape. Within the village, there is boating on the Meare, golfing on the James Braid designed golf course and tennis at the Country Club.
